A turmeric latte (also known as golden milk) is basically sunshine in a cup! It features warming and healing spices whisked into milk for a soothing drink with an earthy taste. Naturally caffeine-free and high in antioxidants, this latte is great for the end of day or when you need to add some calm to your life.

No need to pay high prices for this – you can make it in your own kitchen!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk of your choice
  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  •  teaspoon ground ginger or ¼ inch fresh ginger, grated
  • Pinch of black pepper
  • Maple syrup or honey to taste

Instructions

  • In a small saucepan on medium-high heat, heat milk with turmeric, cinnamon, ginger and black pepper. Whisk until well combined.
  • Remove from heat just before it begins to boil. Add maple syrup or honey, if using.
  • Pour the golden milk into a mug to serve. Make sure to strain if you used fresh ginger instead of ground ginger. Enjoy!
