As a registered nurse for more than 30 years, Judy has worked in many areas of health care. Her passion is assisting people to live their healthiest life. Judy especially feels that aerobic fitness is of the utmost importance for each of us. “Your heart,” she says “is the most important muscle in your body.”

Originally certified as a personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), Judy also has experience as a Fitness Nutrition Specialist and Health Coach. Her education includes a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master’s degree in Public Administration. She also holds certification through the American Council on Exercise (ACE) as a personal trainer.

Judy was a personal trainer at The Body Frim from 2010 to 2015 and left after the sudden death of a family member. She returned to the Body Firm in 2019, happy to be working with many previous clients as well as looking forward to meeting new clients.

Through her experiences as a registered nurse and the sudden loss of a loved one, Judy has seen the fragility of life. She is passionate about helping people to feel their best and reminding them that it’s not just how you look on the outside, but how you look on the inside. Wherever you are in life is the perfect place to start improving your health!

Charlene has incorporated physical fitness throughout her life from playing on a girls’ softball team as a 10-year old to training for half and full marathons as an adult.

Charlene feels that as we age, it’s even more important to remain active so that we can maintain our independence, functional mobility, stability, and greater health for daily living.

As a Body Firm client for three years, Charlene was thrilled when owners Doug and Tori asked her to join their team in 2017.

Charlene works hard to make training a motivating and rewarding experience by empowering clients with knowledge, skills, support, and resources to assist and inspire them on their journey to a healthier life. She says she likes to put the “FUN” in functional training!

Treating her personal trainer role as a partnership with clients, she is passionate about helping others reach their fitness goals and feel their best. She also enjoys keeping the Body Firm “family” informed through newsletters and social media, as well as planning activities to create a community of like-minded individuals.

Certified by the American Council on Exercise (ACE) as a personal trainer and a Senior Fitness Specialist, Charlene also has a bachelor of science degree in Marketing/Communications and a masters degree in Organizational Management.
