Doug’s career as a personal trainer, nutritionist, and business owner expands over 20 years. In 2007 he opened The Body Firm Personal Training Studio in Ahwatukee. Along with his wife, Tori, Doug currently manages The Body Firm and is the head personal trainer. As an Arizona State University alumnus, Doug holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science and has earned the following certifications:
National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) – Personal Trainer
American Council on Exercise (ACE) – Personal Trainer
American Council on Exercise (ACE) – Lifestyle and Weight Management Consultant
American Council on Exercise (ACE) – Advanced Health and Fitness Specialist

Tori’s lengthy history in fitness and health includes 20 years as a group exercise trainer as well as health club sales and management.
Tori’s certifications include the American Council on Exercise (ACE) for a personal trainer, and American Sports Fitness Association (ASFA).
Tori enjoys leading several groups annually toward their weight loss goals via the Body Firm’s Weight Loss Challenges.

As a registered nurse for more than 30 years, Judy has worked in many areas of health care. Her passion is assisting people to live their healthiest life. Judy especially feels that aerobic fitness is of the utmost importance for each of us. “Your heart,” she says “is the most important muscle in your body.”
Originally certified as a personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), Judy also has experience as a Fitness Nutrition Specialist and Health Coach. Her education includes a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master’s degree in Public Administration. She also holds certification through the American Council on Exercise (ACE) as a personal trainer.
Judy was a personal trainer at The Body Frim from 2010 to 2015 and left after the sudden death of a family member. She returned to the Body Firm in 2019, happy to be working with many previous clients as well as looking forward to meeting new clients.
Through her experiences as a registered nurse and the sudden loss of a loved one, Judy has seen the fragility of life. She is passionate about helping people to feel their best and reminding them that it’s not just how you look on the outside, but how you look on the inside. Wherever you are in life is the perfect place to start improving your health!

Sandy teaches and lives fitness with energy and enthusiasm. Her fun approach and focus on proper technique and alignment has helped mold her into a knowledgable and sought-after fitness professional. Sandy’s certification includes the American Council on Exercise (ACE) for a personal trainer and several certifications for aerobic dance and group fitness instruction. She also has competed in bodybuilding competitions.
Sandy has a passion to coach and empowers others to enrich their quality of life through exercise, nutrition, and mind-body awareness.

Originally certified as a personal trainer by the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFA), Benny is also certified by the American Council on Exercise (ACE) as a personal trainer.
He believes that exercise and proper nutrition are the keys to maintaining a healthy lifestyle. He feels it is important to find a personal trainer you are comfortable with and whose primary focus is helping you meet your fitness goals.
Benny also believes that obtaining one’s fitness goals is a team effort and continually proves that the Body Firm is the type of facility dedicated to delivering safe, effective workouts.
Benny assists clients in meeting their goals through focused workouts aimed at improving posture, strength, and endurance while keeping in mind that the client should have an environment that is fun and supportive.

Charlene feels that as we age, it’s even more important to remain active so that we can maintain our independence, functional mobility, stability, and greater health for daily living.
As a Body Firm client for three years, Charlene was thrilled when owners Doug and Tori asked her to join their team in 2017.
Charlene works hard to make training a motivating and rewarding experience by empowering clients with knowledge, skills, support, and resources to assist and inspire them on their journey to a healthier life. She says she likes to put the “FUN” in functional training!
Treating her personal trainer role as a partnership with clients, she is passionate about helping others reach their fitness goals and feel their best. She also enjoys keeping the Body Firm “family” informed through newsletters and social media, as well as planning activities to create a community of like-minded individuals.
Certified by the American Council on Exercise (ACE) as a personal trainer and a Senior Fitness Specialist, Charlene also has a bachelor of science degree in Marketing/Communications and a masters degree in Organizational Management.
